The Universal Model will have a booth at the FLAGG Gem and Mineral Show on Friday and Saturday January 5th & 6th from 9am to 5pm. This is the largest Rock and Mineral Show in the Phoenix Area and is the 46th year of operation. It is an outdoor show located on the NE Corner of US 60 and Dobson Road in the covered parking lot of Mesa Community College.

The family orientated event has FREE admission and parking and children are welcome. The FLAGG Mineral Foundation which hosts the event states:

“One goal of this show is to increase the interest of children in rocks, minerals, geology, and science. Children can become interested in science through minerals, crystals, and fossils, and our hope is to encourage their interest. Several groups will have free samples for children and for teachers and there are free activities as well.”

The UM will be selling books and rock kits that educate the public on how minerals and fossil are made in Nature. If you can’t go to the Tucson show later in the month this is the next best thing. There are always lots of wonderful specimens to see, and add to your collection at the best prices available. We hope to see you there!
